This commemorative celebrates the classic comic-book appeal of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman alongside Batgirl, Nightwing, Supergirl and Wonder Girl, united in a group illustration inspired by 1980s DC artistry, bringing cultural and historical significance to a distinctive numismatic release. Issued in 2016 and produced by the Royal Canadian Mint, the piece features 31.39g of .9999 silver and an official denomination of CAD $20. With a maximum mintage of 10,000, it combines a focused collecting theme with the appeal of a limited-release precious-metal product. Its subject makes it particularly interesting to enthusiasts who collect related series, commemorative silver, licensed characters and specialist releases rather than relying on bullion weight alone.

The principal reverse design features a coloured Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in the foreground with engraved Batgirl, Nightwing, Supergirl and Wonder Girl behind them over a laser halftone comic-book background. One of its most attractive qualities is retro comic-page styling, selective colour and a seven-character superhero composition, giving the coin an individuality that is difficult to achieve with standard bullion artwork. The recorded mint finish is coloured proof, complemented by carefully executed engraved detail. The obverse bears Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt, connecting the specialist reverse artwork with Canada's established commemorative coinage. The design should be viewed in its protected presentation whenever possible to avoid unnecessary contact with coloured, glass or proof-finished surfaces.

For collectors, the attraction of 2016 Canada DC Comics Originals The Trinity 1oz .9999 Silver $20 Coloured Proof – Royal Canadian Mint extends beyond the precious-metal content to the completeness, specialist craftsmanship and story represented by this release. The original issue was presented in royal canadian mint premium dc-themed graphic case, and collectors will generally want to see the original capsule, certificate and any accessories that formed part of the package. The maximum mintage of 10,000 refers to the published issue or individual designs, not to a separate verified number of complete resale packages. Photographs should show the exact item being supplied and its condition, including any signs of toning, scratches, marks on display cases or missing paperwork.
