Celebrate the Year of the Dragon with this distinctive 2024 Orange Dragon Coin from The Perth Mint’s Australian Lunar Series III. Struck from one-half troy ounce of .9999 fine silver, this selectively coloured Brilliant Uncirculated release is Australian legal tender with a denomination of 50 cents.
The reverse presents a right-facing Chinese dragon in vivid orange tones, breathing fire towards a flaming Pearl of Wisdom. The design also incorporates the Chinese character for dragon, the inscription “DRAGON 2024”, an advanced micro-laser engraved security feature and the special P125 mintmark commemorating The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary.
The obverse carries Jody Clark’s Memorial Obverse of Queen Elizabeth II together with the years of her reign, the coin’s weight, purity and monetary denomination. Measuring 32.60mm in diameter, the coin is supplied inside an individual protective acrylic capsule. This is the loose capsuled half-ounce edition and is not supplied on a presentation card.
