2022 Gods of Olympus Hera 1oz .9999 Silver BU Coin – Tuvalu – The Perth Mint
The 2022 Gods of Olympus Hera is the fourth release in The Perth Mint’s revived mythological bullion series. Issued as legal tender for Tuvalu and manufactured in Australia, the coin contains one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver and has a limited maximum mintage of only 13,500.
Designed by Thomas Vaughan, the reverse depicts Hera wearing a polos crown and seated upon her throne inside the Temple of Hera. She holds a lotus staff and is flanked by a lion and peacock, while the inscription “HERA” and The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark complete the design. Ian Rank-Broadley’s portrait of Queen Elizabeth II appears on the obverse.
Struck to a Brilliant Uncirculated finish, the coin measures approximately 40.90mm in diameter and carries a denomination of one Tuvalu dollar. This is the standard BU edition rather than the separately produced antiqued version, and it is supplied in a protective capsule.
