The 2024 Australian Lunar Series III Lilac Dragon Coin celebrates the Year of the Dragon with a distinctive coloured design by Perth Mint artist Ing Ing Jong. Struck from one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver, the coin features a lilac Chinese dragon alongside a flaming pearl, representing wisdom, spiritual energy, prosperity and enlightenment.
The reverse also includes the Chinese character for “dragon”, the inscription “DRAGON 2024” and a special P125 mintmark celebrating The Perth Mint’s 125th anniversary. Jody Clark’s Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Obverse appears on the opposite side, accompanied by the dates 1952–2022, the coin’s one-dollar denomination, weight and silver purity.
Issued as Australian legal tender with an official maximum mintage of 200,000 coins, this Brilliant Uncirculated coloured edition measures approximately 40.90mm in diameter and is supplied inside a protective capsule. This listing does not include the separately issued Sydney Money Expo presentation card or certificate.
