Issued as British legal tender with a denomination of £2, it combines a widely recognised investment format with one of Britain’s most established numismatic designs.
Philip Nathan’s reverse depicts Britannia standing firmly with her trident and Union flag shield, surrounded by animated wave detailing. Four advanced security features are incorporated into the design, including micro-text, tincture lines, surface animation and a latent image that changes between a trident and padlock. The obverse carries Martin Jennings’ uncrowned portrait of King Charles III.
