The 2025 Australian Double Phoenix Red & Gold Coin is struck by The Perth Mint from one troy ounce of .9999 fine silver. Part of the Chinese Myths and Legends collection, the Red & Gold edition has a maximum mintage of 5,000 coins, with only 4,000 allocated to the individual capsule presentation offered here.
Designed by Lucas Bowers, the reverse depicts two phoenixes gazing towards one another in a symbol of harmony, unity and prosperity in pairs. Red and gold colouring highlights their elaborate plumage, while the surrounding design incorporates the Chinese symbol for “double happiness”, stylised clouds, the 2025 year-date and The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark. Dan Thorne’s King Charles III effigy appears on the obverse.
The AUD $1 legal-tender coin measures 40.90mm in diameter, has a maximum thickness of 3.50mm and a minimum gross weight of 31.107g. It is supplied ungraded in Brilliant Uncirculated condition inside a protective capsule. Minor bullion marks, toning, milk spotting or light storage marks on the capsule may occasionally be present, and no presentation card, display case or certificate is included unless specifically shown.
