The artist described the theme as “Accompanying Love”, continuing the ten-year narrative that began in 2019 and follows the pandas through different stages of their lives.

Temple of Heaven Obverse

The obverse features the famous Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, located within Beijing’s historic Temple of Heaven complex.

This celebrated architectural design has appeared consistently across the Chinese Panda bullion programme, providing a traditional counterpart to the annually changing panda artwork.

The surrounding Chinese inscription translates as “People’s Republic of China”, with the year 2023 displayed beneath the temple.
